🔍 Why I Picked This Up:

A fantasy romance? I’m in. The promise of a bisexual main character and some magical drama sealed the deal. Thank you so much to Nevaeh Ryn and NetGalley for providing a free eARC in exchange for an honest review!

✨ What I Loved:

The characters were definitely a highlight—Delaney and Beau were especially strong. I loved the romantic tension and all the date scenes. There’s plenty of yearning and emotional depth to dig into. Even though this is clearly the beginning of a bigger story, I felt invested enough to want to continue the series. And thankfully—no cliffhanger ending!

✍️ Room for Improvement:

This book felt like a classic “first in a series” in the sense that the plot is still ramping up. The pacing was on the slower side, and while I usually enjoy descriptive writing, some of the details dragged and interrupted the story’s flow. There were moments I found myself bored, especially earlier on, but it did pick up toward the end. Also, just a heads up—this is not a standalone read.

If you're into slow-burn, fantasy romances with a healthy dose of yearning and magic, this one’s for you. Just be ready to commit to the series, because the story is only getting started. I’ll definitely be grabbing book two, Bewitched, which is expected to be published September 10, 2025!
